Unlocking the Potential of Robotics in Education at the Innovative Schools Summit

True Robotics is dedicated to making hands-on STEM education accessible to all students by addressing the biggest challenges in education—cost, training, materials, and time. That’s why attending the Innovative Schools Summit in New York City was a clear choice for us. This dynamic event brings together four conferences in one, focusing on innovative teaching strategies, at-risk student support, school climate and culture, and social-emotional learning—all areas where robotics can drive meaningful impact. By participating, we aimed to show educators how robotics can be an engaging, affordable, and practical tool for transforming student learning.

Our team brought along Axle, Pilot, and Fido to showcase how robotics can captivate students, enhance problem-solving skills, and support diverse learners. But the real surprise was Treads, our newest K-3 robot, making its debut at the summit! One of the most exciting aspects of our Paving the Way With Treads curriculum is how it seamlessly integrates social-emotional learning (SEL) into daily lessons, helping young students develop essential life skills alongside STEM concepts. Educators also explored how our comprehensive robotics programs foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, ensuring that students gain both technical knowledge and the problem-solving abilities they need for the future.

As an active NYC DOE vendor, we are committed to supporting New York educators, and attending the Innovative Schools Summit was an incredible opportunity to connect with them. But our time in NYC isn’t over yet—we’re excited to return in just a few weeks for the 9th Annual District 75 STEM Fair at the American Museum of Natural History on March 20. This event offers hands-on STEM experiences for students with disabilities, and we’re proud to showcase how robotics can make STEM learning accessible, engaging, and inclusive for all learners. We can’t wait to continue inspiring the next generation of innovators!
