Computer Science Education Week is all about inspiring students in grades K-12 to dive into the exciting world of computer science—and there was absolutely no way that we were going to miss out on all of the fun!
We were ecstatic to partner with Springfield Public Schools to host workshops at Talmadge Elementary School, Brookings Elementary School, and Milton Bradley School. Thanks to this incredible collaboration, roughly 300 fourth and fifth-grade students had the chance to explore the impact robotics has on the world around us.
The excitement was palpable as students programmed Pilot, raced our robots, and spent time with everyone's favorite mascot, Fido. Their enthusiasm for hands-on learning with Axle and Pilot was a true highlight of the week.
Check out some action shots from our time in Springfield, MA. and see the future of STEM in action!
Bringing the Excitement to More Classrooms
The energy and enthusiasm we witness during our workshops are constant reminders of how impactful hands-on learning can be. Students can apply their curiosity and creativity to building, programming, and racing robots.
If you're inspired by what you see and want to spark similar excitement in your own classroom, we've developed the curriculum and resources to help.
Our Axle and Pilot classroom packages are designed to make robotics and STEM education accessible and engaging for students of all ages.
Treads., our brand-new K-3 curriculum and robot, is set to be released early next year. Treads is designed to introduce younger students to foundational STEM skills through exploration.
Let's work together to bring the magic of STEM learning to your classroom!
